LushClayCo Studio

Every other tool converts. This one lets you design.

Upload-and-export tools turn an existing image into a file. LushClayCo Studio is the polymer clay cutter design tool that starts from nothing, a real vector tool built for actually designing.

Every design starts as genuinely yours, not a stock vector, not a repackaged pack, not something anyone else could have made.

I’m a clay cutter designer first. This is the tool I needed myself.

LushClayCo is a small, women-owned business I run from my home studio, alongside a house full of rescue cats and one very good dog. My working hours for clay are limited, and I wanted every one of them to go toward actually designing, not fighting software. So I built the tool I couldn’t find anywhere else.

Every app I tried wasn’t actually one combined product. Fusion 360 is genuinely great for CAD, but for what I was doing, the extrusion amount barely ever changed, only the design did, so running full CAD software for that one repeated step got redundant fast. And it never gave me the ease of just designing in a real vector tool the way Illustrator or Affinity does. I wanted both in one place, not two separate apps for two halves of the same job.

LushClayCo Studio is that tool. Not a converter I settled for, but the one I wanted to use myself.

Why it’s different
Not “we do more than them.” We’re the only one where you design.

Draw at real thickness

Set line width to 0.4mm, draw, and 0.4mm is the exported wall. No Fusion offset step. No competitor lets you draw at all.

Radial pattern, live

Drag the center, drag the radius, set the count. On any shape, drawn or imported. No competitor has this at all.

Seam check, live

The wraparound ghost updates as you drag, scale, or rotate. Not a setting you check once and hope holds.

The suite
One growing set of tools, each built for its own physical process
LushMotif

Live now

  • Draw an original design from a blank canvas, or import and trace an existing image, both in one tool
  • Full editing after import: remove details, add new ones, reshape freely
  • Node and bezier curve editing with real handle control, not just sliders
  • Every shape stays individually selectable and editable, never fused into one blob
  • True holes and cutouts preserved correctly, rings and donuts stay open
  • Edit the seam directly for a true, checked wrap
  • Grid, guides, and snapping for precise, deliberate drawing
  • Minimum feature size tied to real nozzle sizing, so designs print cleanly

LushPattern

Coming soon

  • Turn any single design into a seamless, repeating pattern
  • True staggered layouts, not just a fixed grid
  • Its own seam-checking, built for repeating tiles

LushRoller

Coming soon

  • Wrap a single design once, or a repeating tile from LushPattern
  • Real-world sizing built in, diameter and height in millimeters

LushCutter

Coming soon

  • A flat design extrudes into a walled, ready-to-print cutter
  • Variable extrusion heights within a single design
  • Durable-by-default wall thickness

LushStencil

Coming soon

  • Flat, open cutouts with no wrap concerns
  • Works from a single motif or a full pattern

Common question
Why separate apps instead of one all-in-one tool?

Because your designs go through genuinely different physical processes, not the same operation with a different label. LushRoller wraps a design around a cylinder. LushCutter builds a walled blade profile. LushStencil cuts a flat opening. Each one solves a different 3D problem, so each one gets a tool built specifically for it, rather than a single generic app trying to do everything reasonably well.

That does not mean the tools are disconnected. Start a design in LushMotif, and “Export Design To” sends it straight into LushPattern, LushRoller, or LushCutter with no re-uploading and no starting over. Each app does one job properly, and they hand work off to each other seamlessly.
