All sizes listed for polymer clay cutters are approximate and given in millimetres. Minor variation is normal and part of the handcrafted nature of 3D printed cutters.
Rinse your cutter with warm water after use and allow to air dry completely before storing. Avoid acetone, harsh solvents, or prolonged heat exposure as these can affect the material over time. Store flat or upright in a dry place away from direct sunlight.
Selsebil is the name of the paradise fountain in Islamic tradition, flowing through Ottoman poetry, architectural inscription and manuscript illumination for centuries. This ottoman polymer clay cutter takes a four lobed clover outer silhouette with a soft scalloped edge, the interior holding a central vertical spray of fine curved lines rising from a small base point and fanning outward like water from a fountain basin, flanked by two smaller curved sprays on either side. An open, elegant composition with quiet authority. Pairs beautifully alongside Pervane for layered Ottoman earring compositions.
The fountain motif appears across Ottoman architecture and decorative art as a symbol of paradise, abundance and divine generosity, inscribed above the entrances of hans and mosques, carved into marble basins and woven into the borders of court textiles from the 15th century onward.
